AIエンジニア/ AI Engineer

One of the biggest technology companies in Japan is looking for a talented AI Application Engineer to join their team. This position is open to applicants in Japan and those outside of Japan (visa sponsorship available)

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of an AI Assistant
• Build AI-powered user experiences using React, TypeScript, Vercel AI SDK, and modern frontend architecture
• Implement chat-based and agentic UI flows, including streaming responses, tool calling, structured outputs, report generation, and feedback collection
• Design reusable AI UI components, hooks, typed interfaces, and frontend patterns for analytics products
• Contribute to architectural decisions around AI application design, including API contracts, state management, observability, security, and scalability
• Improve AI feature quality through testing, evaluation, logging, monitoring, and user feedback loops
• Apply responsible AI practices, including permission-aware UX, sensitive data handling, prompt-injection mitigation, and transparent presentation of AI-generated outputs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience or familiarity with Vercel AI SDK
• Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript in production applications
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, component design, state management, API integration, and performance optimisation
• Practical experience building or integrating LLM-powered applications, AI assistants, chat interfaces, RAG systems, or generative AI features
