データベース信頼性エンジニア/ Database Reliability Engineer

A leading technology company is looking for a Database Reliability Engineer. The selected candidate will design, implement, and manage secure, scalable hybrid and multi-cloud database platforms while ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across enterprise environments. This is a contract role.

Responsibilities:

• Design and establish a robust hybrid and multi-cloud architecture connecting on-premises MySQL databases with GCP Cloud SQL
• Collaborate closely with engineering and application teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure database platforms across hybrid environments
• Manage, monitor, and perform advanced performance tuning for MySQL databases operating within a distributed multi-cloud ecosystem
• Ensure high availability and low latency across enterprise database environments

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of experience in the IT industry
• Extensive experience in MySQL administration, including replication strategies, backup and recovery, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery planning
• Hands-on experience with GCP, specifically Cloud SQL
• Strong understanding of hybrid connectivity solutions
• Experience automating database provisioning and configuration management using Terraform or Ansible

Preferred requirements:

• Experience executing large-scale database migration or synchronisation projects between on-premises and cloud environments using tools such as DMS
• Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or GCP Cloud Monitoring
• Ability to automate operational tasks using Python, Go, or Bash scripting
• Knowledge of database security standards, including encryption at rest, encryption in transit, and IAM integration
• Business level Japanese
