マーケットオペレーションズマネージャー/ Market Operations Manager

A global financial institution is looking for a Market Operations Manager. The selected candidate will lead end-to-end market operations activities, ensuring accurate trade processing, settlement, regulatory compliance, and operational risk governance across a highly regulated financial environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee Tokyo Branch Market Operations activities across Institutional Banking & Markets
• Oversee payment settlements including BOJ operations, nostro and cash management, remittances, and account maintenance
• Ensure accurate and timely transaction processing in compliance with regulatory and control requirements
• Manage regulatory reporting obligations and ensure adherence to local requirements
• Oversee operational risk, exceptions, and escalations in line with the operational risk framework
• Ensure effective governance, control performance, SOP development, training, and operational readiness
• Represent Market Operations in local governance and management forums
• Maintain and develop strategic stakeholder relationships across internal and external parties including vendors and functional leads
• Drive operational resilience through SOP ownership and business continuity readiness
• Support new product development with risk management and governance oversight
• Ensure effective workflow design and continuous improvement of operational processes

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of experience in financial markets, treasury operations, or settlements
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with BOJ-NET Terminal operations
• Strong understanding of Japanese market practices including BOJ operations and JGB settlement
• Deep knowledge of operational risk and regulatory requirements in Japan
• Bilingual level Japanese; business level English
