製品エンジニア/ Product Engineer

A leading automotive manufacturing company is looking for a Product Engineer. The selected candidate will support product development activities, manage technical requirements, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Senior Engineers in product development activities
• Develop customer products from system concept through quotation, prototyping, validation, and mass production
• Ensure proactive requirements and risk management for technical aspects
• Ensure customer specifications, cost targets, manufacturing requirements, and timing goals are achieved
• Comply with customer-specific requirements
• Promote standardised development and validation testing where applicable
• Act as a technical liaison between product development teams, customers, and internal departments
• Supervise product testing, interpret test results, and implement necessary modifications
• Support flawless product launches by managing technical issues related to assigned projects
• Provide product engineering expertise during customer visits and audits
• Act as a Technical Project Lead Engineer for small to medium complexity projects
• Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and support new business opportunities
• Contribute to digital opportunities, process improvements, and sustainability activities including CO2 reduction and PCR material adoption

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or comparable education
• Experience in automotive engineering for complex mechatronics systems
• Experience in automotive engineering for Japanese OEMs
• Knowledge of blow moulding, injection moulding, compression moulding, product design, welding, and assembly
• Intercultural awareness and enthusiasm for the automotive industry
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently
• Fluent level Japanese; business level English
