コントローラー/ Controller

A growing company in the tourism and hospitality industry is looking for a Controller. The selected candidate will oversee accounting, financial reporting, compliance, tax, audits, internal controls, and finance transformation initiatives while supporting business growth and operational excellence. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Translate strategic goals into financial plans and departmental actions
• Act as the primary financial liaison with cross-functional teams
• Drive financial systems optimisation and automation initiatives
• Prepare accurate financial statements and consolidated reports
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations
• Develop and strengthen internal controls and risk management processes
• Coordinate tax planning, tax submissions, and audit activities

Requirements:

• Experience as a Controller, Finance Manager, Head of Finance, or similar financial leadership role within a growing mid-sized organisation
• Experience in public accounting, corporate finance, controllership, or related financial leadership roles
• Experience with ERP systems, financial systems, and process automation initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to improve financial and operational processes through technology and automation
• Comfortable working in a hands-on entrepreneurial environment
• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in retail, hospitality, tourism, multi-site, or other operationally complex and high-growth businesses
• Finance transformation experience
• Possess a valid MBA or other advanced business qualification
• Possess a valid CPA, CA, or similar professional accounting qualification
• Proficient in Japanese
