財務コントローラー/ Financial Controller

An international technology company is looking for an Operating Units Financial Controller. The selected candidate will oversee financial reporting, accounting controls, budgeting, audits, and finance process improvements for assigned operating units.

Responsibilities:

• Manage financial accounting, reporting, and control for assigned operating units
• Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual statements comply with IFRS and Japanese GAAP
• Monitor budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and corrective recommendations
• Strengthen internal controls to protect assets and maintain data integrity
• Coordinate with auditors, tax authorities, and key stakeholders on compliance matters
• Lead finance process improvements while managing and developing the finance team

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting or finance
• More than 5 years of experience in finance and accounting
• More than 2 years of experience in leadership or controller role within a multinational corporation
• Experience with Japanese GAAP and IFRS
• Knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Skilled in Skilled in SAP (S4HANA is ideal)
• Knowledge with revenue recognition methods
• Fluent level written and verbal Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in the technology sector
