シニアジェネラルアカウンタント/ Senior General Accountant

A multinational consumer and industrial goods company is looking for a Senior General Accountant. The selected candidate will manage tax accounting, reporting, compliance, financial closing activities, and support finance projects while ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Execute tax-related accounting entries and journal postings
• Perform reconciliation of tax-related balance sheet accounts
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
• Prepare local and federal tax payments
• Analyse financial data for tax reporting purposes
• Execute and maintain internal controls related to tax, including SOX and J-SOX
• Act as the primary contact for auditors on tax-related matters
• Support tax projects and the implementation of new regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 5 years of experience in Finance or more than 3 years of experience in Accounting or Tax firms
• Strong understanding of IFRS and Japan GAAP
• Hands-on experience in monthly and quarterly closing processes
• Solid accounting and tax knowledge
• Business level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with corporate tax returns and international taxation, including transfer pricing and cross-border tax
• Experience in tax audits, internal control audits (SOX/J-SOX), and SAP or ERP systems
