財務マネージャー/ Finance Manager

A global energy technology company is looking for a Finance Manager. The chosen applicant will be managing accounting, financial reporting, tax, treasury, budgeting, and finance operations while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and prepare financial statements
• Review financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards
• Prepare closing entries, including prepayments, accruals, provisions, and intercompany settlements
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and oversee inventory and fixed asset accounting
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness
• Support accounts payable operations, including employee expense reviews and vendor payments
• Support accounts receivable operations and coordinate with headquarters on collections
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
• Analyse sales, margins, operating costs, and business performance
• Prepare tax returns with local tax service providers and support transfer pricing documentation
• Respond to tax audits and investigations
• Manage payment approvals, intercompany settlements, and cash flow
• Monitor daily bank balances, collections, and payments
• Prepare financial information for insurance coverage and renewals
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team
• Drive system and process improvements while performing other duties assigned by management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• More than 5 years of relevant work experience
• Proficient in SAP
• Management experience
• Hands-on closing experience
• Business level Japanese and English
