財務マネージャー/ Finance Manager

A global veterinary pharmaceutical company is seeking a Finance Manager. The selected applicant will drive and take full ownership of the local finance organisation within the country to support operations and business goals. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Animate group financial cycles (management, consolidation, cash forecast and tax planning) within their scope for group purposes
• Ensure achievement and drive optimisation of main KPI (operating income, WCR, SP)
• Animate local financial cycle (accounting and tax) for local requirements
• Monitor relationships and negotiations with local banks for treasury

Provide a relevant set of analyses to the business to optimise overall country performance and support business needs

• Perform tax-specific studies (legal restructuring) in accordance with the corporate tax organisation
• Ensure application of tax incentives & grants where available
• Manage foreign currency exposure according to group policy
• Monitor local internal control environment to reduce risk of error or fraud in financial statements
• Ensure data integrity, security & consistency in accordance with master data management guidelines defined by Corporate
• Lead local implementation or adaptation of Support Functions Guidelines and Principles related to performance and risk management
• Lead adaptation of corporate guidelines, standards and procedures to ensure compliance at corporate and local levels (accounting, tax and cash, risk management & payroll)
• Lead and monitor the implementation of strong internal control over financial reporting in compliance with the Group framework
• Ensure maintenance and development of local ERP and system compliance with duties distribution
• Manage payroll, payroll taxes, and employee benefits

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
• 5-7 years in financial management roles
• Prior leadership experience in a small or mid-sized company
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow optimisation and strategic planning
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and JGAAP tax, accounting, and legal environments
• Strong grasp of financial statements, KPIs, and performance metrics
• Native level Japanese; business level English

Preferred Requirements:

• MBA or CPA
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP)
