A renowned internet company is looking for a Compliance professional. The selected candidate will manage import, product, advertising, and marketplace compliance for eCommerce operations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Japan import regulations, inspections, documentation, and related procedures
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities to secure required product approvals and certifications
• Manage product safety requirements across applicable categories
• Review advertising, promotional claims, and product language for compliance risks
• Audit product listings, restricted categories, keywords, and compliance notices across Japan marketplaces
• Maintain marketplace account health, resolve policy issues, and prepare corrective action plans

Requirements:

• More than 4 years of professional experience
• Experience applying these laws to real product listings and marketing content
• Prior experience navigating Japanese import regulations (customs procedures, MHLW approvals, PSE/PSC certifications, and product category-specific requirements)
• Understanding of Yakuji-ho (薬機法) and Keihyo-ho (景品表示法)
• Business level reading and written Japanese; proficient in spoken English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience working on the product or brand side of import compliance
• Prior experience liaising directly with regulatory bodies such as MHLW, CAA, or customs authorities
• Knowledge with Amazon Japan and/or Rakuten Ichiba account health management, including Plans of Action
