A global medical devices manufacturer is looking for an EHS professional. The selected candidate will manage environmental health and safety programs, support compliance reporting, and drive accident prevention initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate environmental health and safety programs in line with regulatory requirements
• Support the development and maintenance of safety policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate safety files, documentation, and compliance records
• Assist with environmental compliance report submissions
• Support accident investigations, data analysis, and prevention initiatives
• Monitor environmental compliance and liaise with regulatory agencies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a STEM field (Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering) or Health & Safety/Environmental Management
• More than 5 years of professional experience
• 3-5 years of related experience in EHS within a manufacturing environment
• Experience maintaining compliance programs (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, including worker training)
• Understanding of Japanese EHS Regulations (RTO, local regulations, environmental regulations, management of hazardous and universal wastes, control of stormwater, occupational health)
• Possess valid Japanese certifications (e.g., First Class Health Officer [第一種衛生管理者] or Safety Manager [安全管理者], etc.)
• Proficient in written and spoken English; professional level Japanese

Preferred requirements:

• Understanding of vacuum power generator components, electrical safety, and laser safety as best practice
