A global technology and manufacturing company is looking for an Organic Analytical Chemist. The selected candidate will drive analytical innovation, support product development, develop advanced analytical methods, and collaborate with global teams to solve complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Lead analytical programmes supporting innovative technologies, products, and business initiatives
• Support product development and commercialisation through advanced analytical expertise
• Develop and optimise analytical methods and technologies to address product and business needs
• Provide analytical consultation and recommend effective approaches to solve technical challenges
• Collaborate with laboratory, manufacturing, and global teams to support successful product development
• Partner with customers and stakeholders to deliver analytical solutions for complex requirements
• Maintain analytical instruments and ensure reliable testing and data quality

Requirements:

• Master's degree or above in Organic Chemistry
• Experience in analytical chemistry and product development support
• Hands-on experience operating GC/MS, LC/MS, NMR, FT IR, Raman microscopy, and related analytical instruments
• Practical skills in sample preparation, spectral analysis, and data interpretation
• Experience in analytical method development and optimisation
• Ability to provide analytical consultation and solve technical challenges through appropriate analytical approaches
• Ability to prepare analytical reports and basic knowledge of quality systems such as GLP and ISO
• Understanding of laboratory safety and chemical handling
• Ability and willingness to strengthen analytical knowledge and techniques through collaboration with global analytical teams
• Fluent level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• PhD in Organic Chemistry
• Digital capability to support the development and effective use of digital tools for the Analytical Lab
