人事部長/ HR Director
An international luxury retail organisation is seeking an HR Director. The selected candidate will drive strategic HR initiatives, oversee talent management and employee relations, lead compensation and benefits programmes, and manage HR operations while partnering closely with senior leadership and global stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leadership and functional directors to achieve business objectives
- Develop and execute HR initiatives and practices aligned with organisational goals
- Serve as a strategic advisor on talent and organisational development needs
- Build strong relationships across office and retail teams to foster engagement and alignment
- Lead workforce planning, talent reviews, and succession planning initiatives
- Provide guidance and coaching to leaders and employees on HR matters
- Drive Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and employee wellbeing initiatives
- Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with business needs
- Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding
- Oversee training strategy design, implementation, and evaluation
- Lead talent and performance review processes to strengthen organisational effectiveness
- Manage labour issues, grievance matters, and employee relations concerns
- Ensure compliance with Japanese labour laws, regulations, and company policies
- Supervise payroll processes and compensation and benefits programmes
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team to enhance overall performance
Requirements:
- More than 5 years of experience in overall HR activities within the luxury and/or retail industry
- Experience in a Head of HR position and executive management team participation
- Proven leadership experience within retail and/or luxury brand environments
- Strong bilingual communication skills with the ability to articulate strategy across all organisational levels
- Solid understanding of local labour laws, regulations, and administrative requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills across local and global teams
- Professional level Japanese and English
