事業開発マネージャー/ Business Development Manager
An international life sciences and laboratory services company is looking for a Business Development Manager. The selected candidate will drive strategic and technical sales activities, develop client relationships, manage sales opportunities, and promote discovery service solutions within the drug discovery industry. This is a full-remote role.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and build business relationships with new prospects and new groups within existing accounts through sales calls, lead follow-up, on-site seminars, trade shows, and user meetings
- Provide consultative solutions across the discovery service portfolio using technical and strategic sales approaches
- Communicate with management-level decision makers to structure new deals and strengthen existing business relationships
- Coordinate customer visits with scientists and specialists
- Adapt business development plans based on territory needs and company strengths
- Maintain accurate records of sales and prospecting activities using CRM Dynamics 365
- Ensure transactions and customer orders are accurate and complete when coordinating with Client Services and Technical Scientific Support teams
- Attend and participate in training meetings as requested
- Maintain an accurate sales forecast updated weekly
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in applicable life sciences
- More than 5 years of experience in technical sales or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of the drug discovery and development process
- Understanding and experience in the preclinical CRO market
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently for customer visits
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to the USA, EU, or Asia for audits, meetings, or training
- Possess a valid authorisation to work in Japan
- Professional level Japanese; fluent level English
Preferred requirements:
- Pharmacology, Cell Biology, or Biochemistry background
