Head of Internal Communication

An international medical technology company is looking for a Head of Internal Communications. The selected candidate will lead the global internal communications strategy, oversee execution of communication initiatives, and drive employee engagement through data-driven, high-quality communication practices.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a global internal communications team including sub-team leads and channel experts
• Oversee global planning and execution of internal communication activities including town halls, leadership communications, and employee engagement events
• Collaborate with global and regional communication partners to ensure consistent messaging and high-quality outputs
• Align with regional communication leads and design teams to manage demand and creative asset delivery
• Own and enhance internal communication infrastructure including GIH and Microsoft 365 platforms
• Drive integration of systems and processes following M&A activities
• Implement a data-driven internal communications centre of excellence leveraging new technologies including AI
• Ensure best-in-class editorial standards and communication channel management
• Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness and adapt strategies based on insights
• Support stakeholder decision-making through clear, engaging, and transparent communication
• Strengthen employee understanding, engagement, and retention across global teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Economics, or related field
• More than 10 years of experience in communications in an international environment
• More than 5 years of experience in leadership roles within communications
• Experience in internal communications, editorial management, and communication channel management
• Experience managing complex and agile teams and applying agile methodologies
• Strong understanding of MS 365 environment
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and travel occasionally

Preferred requirements:

• Advanced degree such as Master’s
• Bilingual capabilities
