間接調達シニアマネージャー/ Indirect Procurement Senior Manager

A foreign medical technology company is looking for an Indirect Procurement Senior Manager. The chosen candidate will be developing and executing the indirect procurement strategy in alignment with global category leaders. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, lead, communicate and execute the indirect procurement strategy across indirect categories and coordinate the full procurement strategy to leverage Japan’s annual spend
• Influence, engage, collaborate and partner with senior stakeholders to identify indirect procurement savings opportunities and improve payment terms
• Deliver year-over-year net procurement benefits aligned with business strategic initiatives and global category procurement strategies
• Lead negotiations of complex country-level agreements
• Collaborate with functional partners and legal counsel to establish supplier contracts that meet business needs and mitigate commercial, data and supply chain risks
• Provide strategic sourcing support and leadership for critical supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies
• Maintain a deep understanding of indirect suppliers, products and market trends while implementing procurement best practices to drive value and service improvements
• Partner with function and budget owners to execute sourcing processes, including supplier identification, competitive bidding, negotiations, selection, contracting and performance management
• Monitor changes in local legislation and implement new processes to ensure compliance
• Implement measures to monitor compliance with Procurement Policy and business controls

Requirements:

• More than 10 years of relevant procurement working experience
• More than 5 years of experience in a medium-large strategic procurement organisation or equivalent (or through large client work at a top-tier management consultancy)
• Experience working in a medium-large, fast-growing company is a plus
• Proven leadership experience
• Ability to influence senior leaders and gain alignment to pursue strategic procurement initiatives
• Strong analytical skills, financial and business acumen and ability to lead a diverse team
• Superior interpersonal, communication, planning, organising, and negotiation skills
• Ability and willingness to travel
