サプライチェーンマネージャー/ Supply Chain Manager
A global food and consumer goods company is looking for a Supply Chain Manager. The selected candidate will lead end-to-end supply chain operations, drive operational excellence, manage supplier relationships, oversee budgets, and develop a high-performing team while supporting business growth through strategic supply chain leadership. This is a hybrid setup role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Supply Chain team
- Drive organisation through mentoring, succession planning and performance management
- Contribute to business strategy and foster a high-performance workplace culture as a member of the Japan Leadership Team
- Lead continuous improvement to enhance service, productivity and cost performance
- Utilise data and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making
- Lead end-to-end supply chain operations including inventory management, logistics, imports and customer fulfilment
- Manage inventory levels while balancing customer service, working capital and cost goals
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure supply continuity
- Lead contract negotiations and monitor supplier performance against KPIs and SLAs
- Develop and manage the SC operating budget while monitoring financial performance
- Support customer growth, market expansion and supply chain innovation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and international trade obligations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Commerce or a related discipline
- More than 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade or related disciplines
- Demonstrated people leadership and management experience
- Experience managing supplier and logistics contracts
- Experience managing budgets and delivering financial outcomes
- Experience operating within complex international supply chains
Preferred requirements:
- Experience supporting the Japan market or broader Asia-Pacific region
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, consumer goods or international distribution environments
- Possess a valid APICS, CSCP, CPIM, Lean or Six Sigma certification
- Bilingual level Japanese and English
