上級会計士/ Senior Accountant

A renowned pharmaceutical company is looking for a Senior Accountant (consolidated financial and IFRS support). The selected candidate will manage closing operations, consolidated reporting, audit coordination, and accounting process improvements. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing operations for consolidated and standalone accounts
• Prepare consolidated packages, journal entries, and financial statement support materials
• Analyse financial results and summarise key variance factors for reporting
• Coordinate audit requests, Q&A responses, issue tracking, and follow-up actions
• Improve and standardise accounting processes, workflows, and documentation
• Collaborate with FP&A, tax, subsidiaries, and business divisions on accounting treatment and data validation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• More than 5 years of experience in accounting and closing operations at a business company or audit firm
• Experience in monthly, quarterly, or annual closing (including journal entry, balance management, etc.)
• Knowledge in accounting (Japanese standards or IFRS)
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Professional level Japanese; proficient in reading and written English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in consolidated closing operations (consolidated packages, internal deletions, etc.)
• Prior accounting experience at listed companies or equivalent companies
• Proven experience in audit response
• Background in using ERP systems (such as SAP)
