財務シニアマネージャー/ Finance Sr. Manager

A global life sciences company is looking for a Sr. Manager, Finance. The selected candidate will lead financial planning and analysis activities, oversee forecasting and reporting processes, provide strategic financial insights, and drive business performance across Japan.

Responsibilities:

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes
• Own the Annual Operating Plan, forecasts, Strategic Plan, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Monthly Business Reviews
• Monitor and analyse financial and operational performance, including revenue, costs, margins, profitability, investments, and KPIs
• Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers to support data-driven decision-making
• Partner with commercial, operational, and functional leaders to support strategic initiatives and business opportunities
• Evaluate investments and optimise resource allocation to drive profitable growth
• Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases for strategic planning and investment decisions
• Prepare management reports and executive presentations on business performance and strategic recommendations
• Leverage data analytics, financial systems, and visualisation tools to generate actionable insights
• Drive continuous improvement of financial planning, reporting, and analytical processes
• Enhance efficiency, accuracy, financial discipline, and business value across finance operations
• Provide financial insights and decision support to senior business and functional leaders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• More than 10 years of experience in finance, including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, and business analytics
• Experience partnering with senior business and functional leaders to influence business performance and support strategic decision-making
• Experience building, developing, and managing high-performing teams
• Experience operating within a complex, matrixed, and multinational organisation
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including financial modelling, scenario planning, and data analysis
• Experience with ERP systems, Hyperion, and financial planning and reporting tools
• Business level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in corporate finance, including strategic planning, investment analysis, capital allocation, M&A support, or business case development
• Possess an MBA, CPA, CMA, or other advanced finance qualification
