DevOpsエンジニア/ DevOps Engineer

A technology company is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The chosen applicant will drive system reliability and operational improvements through development, automation, monitoring, and incident management.

Responsibilities:

• Perform minor development tasks such as adding features and fixing bugs
• Research EOL status for middleware, libraries, and operating systems, and handle planned version upgrades
• Implement adaptive maintenance to accommodate changes in the external environment, such as cloud service specifications and API deprecation
• Implement preventive maintenance to prevent outages and address technical debt through refactoring, redundancy improvements, and configuration reviews
• Identify operational challenges and plan, coordinate, and drive improvement initiatives as projects
• Plan and execute operational optimisation initiatives, including automation, process standardisation, and cost reduction
• Streamline development and operations processes using AI tools such as code generation and document automation
• Share AI utilisation knowledge within the team and establish best practices
• Design, improve, and promote the automation of CI/CD pipelines
• Build and improve monitoring infrastructure using Grafana
• Design SLIs/SLOs, manage error budgets, and lead incident response and post-mortems

Requirements:

• More than 2 years of practical experience
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
• Experience in building and operating cloud services
• Experience with version control and team development using Git
• Experience in server-side development using Java
• Basic knowledge of RDBMS and practical experience writing SQL
• Experience reading, modifying, and debugging existing codebases (language not specified)
• Experience creating unit tests and integration tests
• Experience operating container environments using Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience designing, building, and improving CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in reading, modifying, and debugging existing codebases (language agnostic)

• Fluent level Japanese; intermediate level English

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in designing and operating microservice architecture

• Experience in incident response and participating in on-call rotations
