DevOps エンジニア/ DevOps Engineer

A renowned eCommerce and technology company is looking for a DevOps Engineer. The selected candidate will manage production systems, drive automation initiatives, improve system stability and observability, and support high-traffic applications across the product development lifecycle. This is a contract role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage development and production system operations including maintenance, monitoring, automation, troubleshooting, and application releases
• Improve system performance, stability, and availability across production environments
• Automate routine operational tasks using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, and Terraform
• Support middleware performance tuning and backend operations
• Collaborate with development, product, security, QA, and project teams across global locations
• Propose and implement automation solutions to improve productivity and service quality
• Improve monitoring, alerting, and observability systems
• Provide technical expertise on automation and operational issues
• Proactively respond to production incidents and support emergency issue resolution
• Research and propose new technologies and tools to improve development and operational processes

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of experience in DevOps and handling high-traffic production systems
• Experience in troubleshooting middleware and infrastructure issues, automation, and regular operations
• Experience managing hybrid architecture environments including GCP and on-premise workloads
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef, and Terraform
• Strong knowledge of Linux system operations and Linux commands
• Strong scripting skills in Perl, Shell, or Python
• Knowledge of monitoring systems and alert notification tools
• Understanding of web applications, HTTP protocol, security, and RFC standards
• Experience implementing automation based on industry best practices
• Ability and willingness to support emergency and non-business hour operations
• Daily conversational level English (TOEIC 600+)

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with GCP, VPC setup, and Terraform resource provisioning
• Experience troubleshooting JVM environments
• Experience with Couchbase, MongoDB, Redis, and MySQL
• Knowledge of online advertising or marketing business technologies
