バリデーションエンジニア/ Validation Engineer

An international mobility technology company is looking for a Validation Engineer. The selected candidate will develop and execute validation strategies, coordinate testing activities, identify software issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of vehicle software. This is a contract role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive and feasible test plans based on application requirements and product scope
• Define and document test specifications through analysis of requirements and design documents
• Coordinate validation activities across multiple product lines, product areas, and modules
• Conduct functional and system-level testing using Arene SDK and validation tools
• Identify software and product issues, document findings, and collaborate with Engineering to resolve and verify issues
• Communicate with Engineering, UX, and Product teams throughout all validation stages
• Support external contractors during test execution and assist with end-of-quarter validation activities
• Track and report validation progress to support stakeholder visibility and Go/No-Go decisions
• Develop vehicle software with custom SDKs in C++
• Integrate systems with CI workflows and Docker images
• Create pull requests and participate in code reviews with the development team
• Develop and maintain test code for system integration testing

Requirements:

• Experience in automotive systems engineering and testing with a strong understanding of embedded software and vehicle architecture
• Experience in requirement and design analysis, test specification creation, and test execution
• Proficiency with Jira, Jama, and validation workflows and documentation standards
• Proficiency in C++, Python, Go, Rust, and C/C++ with an understanding of CLI design standards and practices
• Ability to work in a Japanese-speaking environment

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in software development using Python, C, C++, or Flutter
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with CI automation including GitHub Workflows and YAML
• Experience with test frameworks and test automation software
• Experience in the automotive industry
• Experience with Gherkin test language
• Possess a valid ISTQB Foundation Level certification
