サポートシステムエンジニア/ Support System Engineer

A global software company is looking for a Support System Engineer. The selected candidate will validate infrastructure systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and improve system reliability through testing, documentation, and automation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop test plans for infrastructure performance, failover, and security
• Validate system configurations against operational and security standards
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues using logs, metrics, and error reports
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and operations teams to resolve technical issues
• Document test results, configurations, troubleshooting steps, and improvement actions
• Support automation, capacity planning, performance tuning, and incident analysis

Requirements:

• More than 8 years of experience in infrastructure testing and support roles
• Experience with performance and failover testing methodologies
• Prior experience with Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments for troubleshooting and configuration
• Proven experience with monitoring tools and log analysis for proactive issue detection
• Understanding of system architecture, networking, and security principles
• Knowledge with managed service environments and ITIL practices
• Familiarity with databases (Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server) for query execution and performance checks
• Prior knowledge with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (Azure or AWS) for hybrid infrastructure support
• Prior understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and ability to diagnose connectivity issues
• Proficient in scripting and automation tools for testing
• Skilled in scripting languages (Shell, Python, or PowerShell) for automation and testing tasks
• Native level Japanese (bilingual is ideal)
