マネージングディレクター/ Managing Director

A global industrial equipment company is looking for a Managing Director. The selected candidate will establish and grow the business, oversee local operations and compliance, develop commercial opportunities, and coordinate with regional and global teams.

Responsibilities:

• Establish the company’s market presence and identify opportunities across key sectors
• Manage office setup, daily operations, administration, vendors, logistics, and internal processes
• Act as the local legal representative and coordinate corporate registration, banking, governance, and statutory compliance
• Drive technical sales activities, proposals, tenders, and customer discussions in coordination with overseas engineering teams
• Develop distributor, service provider, and technical partner networks while supporting after-sales capabilities
• Prepare business forecasts and reports, contribute to long-term strategy, and support the future expansion of local teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above (engineering or business is a plus)
• More than 5 years of experience in compressors, energy, marine, or automation industries
• Prior technical sales, operations, or project coordination experience
• Proven partners, distributors, or service providers working experience
• Understanding of administration and office operations in a start-up setting
• Native level Japanese; fluent level written and verbal English
