カントリーマネージャー/ Country Manager

A renowned medical equipment manufacturer is looking for a Country Manager. The selected candidate will oversee commercial growth, financial performance, distributor partnerships, talent development, and regulatory compliance across the Japan business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the Japan growth strategy to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets
• Identify expansion opportunities and lead major commercial negotiations and strategic partnerships
• Manage distributor networks and strengthen relationships with hospitals, healthcare groups, clinicians, and procurement stakeholders
• Oversee the Japan P&L, annual budgets, forecasts, pricing, and business planning
• Recruit, develop, and retain talent while fostering a performance-driven and customer-focused culture
• Ensure compliance with PMDA regulations, the PMD Act, quality standards, ethics, and corporate governance requirements

Requirements:

• More than 10 years of experience in the medical device industry
• More than 5 years of experience in a senior commercial leadership role in Japan
• Experience in P&L management
• Background in delivering growth in the Japanese healthcare market
• Native level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with multinational medical device companies
• Prior market-entry or business expansion
• Background in anaesthesia, respiratory, critical care, urology, or related hospital businesses
