経理マネージャー/ Accounting Manager

A renowned digital entertainment company is looking for an Accounting Manager. The selected candidate will oversee accounting operations, statutory reporting, tax compliance, audits, and financial process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, expenses, fixed assets, prepayments, and cash
• Execute month-end closing, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Prepare statutory financial statements and support tax filings in accordance with Japanese accounting standards
• Coordinate audit requirements, SOX compliance, and supporting financial documentation
• Oversee intercompany transactions, technical accounting matters, and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams while driving process improvements and automation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, finance, or related field is ideal
• More than 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a multinational or global company
• Prior operational accounting experience (accounts payable and fixed asset management)
• Knowledge of US GAAP and local Japanese accounting standards
• Familiarity with US GAAP and familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Possess valid CPA (Japan or US) or Certified Public Tax Accountant certification
• Fluent level reading, spoken, and written Japanese; business level reading, spoken, and written English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with statutory reporting and tax compliance in Japan
• Prior experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Coupa, Concur, or Zuora
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience managing a small team
• Understanding of Japanese tax regulations (J-tax)
