コンプライアンス・リスクVP / VP of Compliance, Conduct & Operational Risk

A global investment management organisation is looking for a Vice President of Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk. The selected candidate will lead compliance advisory, regulatory oversight, and risk management initiatives across corporate functions, technology, and operations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide compliance advisory and second-line oversight to corporate functions, technology, and operations
• Lead location-wide initiatives on data privacy, outsourcing, and regulatory compliance
• Act as escalation point for incidents and advise on regulatory implications
• Review and monitor implementation of personal information protection policies
• Oversee outsourcing and offshoring activities in collaboration with legal teams
• Support regulatory engagement, inspections, and reporting requirements

Requirements:

• Experience researching and interpreting laws and regulations
• Prior experience supporting regulatory inspections and interactions
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Skilled in preparing presentations and documentation
• Fluent level written and spoken Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience with data privacy and outsourcing regulations in Japan
• Prior experience in a multinational or financial services environment
• Proven experience leading compliance initiatives or projects
• Understanding of technology risk, including cybersecurity, or a background in technology
• Possess valid compliance, risk, or legal fields qualifications
