CTDエンジニア/ CTD Engineer

A global specialty materials company is looking for a CTD Engineer. The selected candidate will provide technical expertise, develop product applications, support customers, and identify new market opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop technical expertise across existing and emerging product applications with internal teams and external partners
• Advise customers and prospects on technical challenges, product selection, and application solutions
• Build relationships with customer stakeholders, industry technology leaders, and professional associations
• Monitor market needs and technology trends to identify new commercial opportunities
• Present product technologies, deliver customer training, and develop technical materials and documentation
• Investigate customer complaints and coordinate effective technical resolutions

Requirements:

• 3-10 year experience within the R&I, market, industries, products (Aromatics/Engineering Plastic and/or Fluoroelastomers/Fluoropolymers) in product development or similar roles (Tech marketing, Tech service, R&D etc.)
• Experience of direct communication with customers
• Background in polymer chemistry, polymer processing, or fluorine chemistry
• Prior background in electrochemistry or battery science
• Understanding of Physical testing (Mechanical, Environmental) and Chemical analysis (Thermal analysis)
• Knowledge of CAE/Moldflow
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Professional level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Master’s degree or above in Polymer Engineering, Polymer Science,
  Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related technical
  discipline
