Public Relations Director

A global consumer goods company is seeking a Public Relations Director. The selected candidate will lead consumer-facing PR strategies, manage media relations, and drive impactful campaigns to promote products and brands. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead consumer PR strategy and plans aligned with market objectives and brand awareness goals
• Build and maintain relationships with key journalists, media outlets, and industry networks
• Monitor media coverage, analyse public sentiment, and adjust PR strategies as needed
• Design and oversee communication campaigns across digital, social, and traditional channels
• Measure and report campaign effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations
• Develop and execute long-term internal education plans to strengthen consumer communications awareness
• Lead, mentor, and coach the Consumer PR team to achieve strategic objectives
• Manage and control Consumer PR budget, ensuring optimal ROI

Requirements:

• More than 7 years of experience in Consumer Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Marketing
• Proven leadership skills in managing and developing high-performing teams
• Familiarity with Japan’s communications landscape
• Proficient in written and verbal English and Japanese
