プロダクションチームリード / Production Team Lead

A global medical technology company is looking for a Production Team Lead. The selected candidate will lead production operations, drive continuous improvement, ensure quality and safety compliance, and develop high-performing teams to achieve operational targets.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily production operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
• Execute production plans and achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
• Ensure compliance with quality management standards, including ISO 13485
• Maintain a safe and compliant production environment
• Develop team members through coaching, training, and performance management
• Oversee production equipment maintenance and troubleshooting activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve performance
• Analyse production data and monitor key performance indicators
• Facilitate team meetings to support communication and problem resolution
• Communicate effectively with global teams in English

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related field)
• More than 5 years of experience in manufacturing
• More than 3 years in a team leader or supervisory role
• Experience in shop floor management, including production control, workforce allocation, and productivity improvement
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Understanding of quality management systems, including ISO 13485
• Knowledge of labour management and team leadership
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Business level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in medical device manufacturing
• Experience with Value Stream Mapping and Kanban implementation
• Experience working with multinational teams or global projects
• Possess a valid Six Sigma Green Belt certification or above
