Chief Compliance Officer

A global online trading platform is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer. The selected candidate will lead cross-functional compliance efforts, supporting regulatory initiatives and ensuring alignment across operations and policies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead implementation of compliance programs and internal policies across operations and marketing
• Oversee regulatory initiatives including licensing and registration for financial and commodity/crypto CFD products
• Monitor and interpret changes in legislation and internal policies, ensuring timely business alignment
• Review marketing materials, new product launches, and website content for regulatory compliance
• Handle client complaints and supervise the complaints handling team
• Conduct best execution monitoring and maintain relationships with regulators and industry bodies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 5 years of experience in operations, sales or compliance in the Japanese FX/CFD sector
• Understanding of applicable Japanese regulatory regimes (relevant licencing requirements, regulatory framework applicable to outsourcing arrangements, anti-money laundering regulations and compliance reporting requirements)
• Possess valid Sales Representative (Gaimuin) and/or Internal Control Manager (Naibukanri Sekininsha) of the JSDA, FFAJ and CFAJ qualifications is ideal
• Business level English
