シニアプロジェクトマネージャー/ Senior Project Manager

An international energy company is looking for a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager. The selected candidate will lead the development of solar PV and BESS projects by managing site identification, land acquisition, permitting, stakeholder coordination, and project approvals through to construction readiness.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of solar PV and BESS projects, including new developments, joint developments, and large-scale solar PV initiatives
• Identify and evaluate potential sites based on resource availability, regulations, and project constraints
• Build relationships with landowners, local communities, and government authorities to secure project support
• Secure land and obtain the approvals, permits, and agreements required for project development
• Manage approval processes for land use, development, environmental impact, and grid connection
• Negotiate and conclude land purchase, lease, and permitting agreements with landowners
• Monitor developments in Japan's solar PV and BESS regulations, including CFD and FIP schemes
• Manage project schedules, budgets, costs, and contractual objectives
• Prepare regular project progress reports for internal stakeholders
• Research and evaluate local political and urban planning regulations
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution

Requirements:

• Experience developing energy projects in the Japanese market
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience in licensing procedures
• Experience handling land area records, land registry records, and various maps, including cadastral maps, parcel maps, and topographical maps
• Basic understanding of equipment and technology used in large-scale solar power plants
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically
• Possess a valid standard driver's license
• Native level Japanese; proficient in English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in solar power generation or BESS projects
• Fluent communication skills in English and Spanish
