エキスパートテクノロジスト/ Expert Technologist

A global energy and chemical company is looking for an Expert Technologist. The selected candidate will drive product technology strategy, technical support, training, compliance, and industry engagement across the market.

Responsibilities:

• Source current and future product, application, specification, and technology information to develop and prioritise the Japan technology roadmap
• Operate as a subject matter expert to deliver proof of performance testing, deploy products, support product launches, and maintain the technology portfolio
• Provide expert advice on customer technical support, product recommendations, application and performance problems, counterfeits, quality incidents, product waivers, material substitution, specifications, applications, quality assessments, and root cause investigations
• Review the technical accuracy, integrity, and approval of external communications, media and customer event materials, product introductions, data sheets, and labels
• Develop technical training materials, deliver technical training, and coach and mentor less experienced technologists
• Present technical materials at customer events and external technical seminars and conferences to drive technical advocacy
• Support interactions with local OEMs and maintain information flow between them and the company
• Represent the company at trade associations and industry bodies and ensure relevant information is shared with internal teams
• Monitor and report on Intellectual Property, Product Quality, and Product Compliance risks and drive the closure of assessment gaps and improvement opportunities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a scientific field such as Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• More than 10 years of experience in a technical role, with broad experience in lubricant development, quality assurance, and technology commercialisation and deployment
• Advanced technical knowledge and quality assurance expertise in own discipline or areas of accountability
• Proficiency in networking, motivating, and leading across different functions
• Experience in digitalisation of data and reporting
