An international packaging products manufacturer is looking for a Buyer. The chosen applicant will manage assigned suppliers, including supplier selection, RFQs, negotiations, contract management, and supplier performance analysis. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Create and execute category strategies for Japan and Korea
• Identify suppliers, drive sourcing activities, and engage suppliers based on business needs in line with supplier management strategies
• Drive compliance with category strategies, supplier base plans, supplier management processes, contracts, and best practices
• Participate in target setting, progress follow-up, and corrective actions
• Ensure the proper use of relevant tools
• Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and act as a proactive business partner
• Share best practices and facilitate onsite networking

Requirements:

• More than 5 years of proven experience in collaborating with suppliers in Japan through construction or engineering activities, or in supporting such activities from a procurement standpoint
• Native level Japanese; business level English
