テストマネージャー/ Test Manager

A global IT services organisation is seeking a Test Manager – Mainframe. The selected candidate will drive test execution, stakeholder engagement, automation initiatives, and testing maturity improvements across global and Japan-based teams.

Responsibilities:

• Lead testing strategy and execution for core insurance applications including policy administration, claims, underwriting, and customer platforms
• Identify and drive testing transformation opportunities across test automation, governance, environment, and data management
• Develop and execute a testing transformation roadmap aligned with business priorities and regulatory requirements
• Drive testing maturity through automation, process standardisation, and AI-led quality engineering initiatives
• Champion test automation to improve efficiency, coverage, and execution speed
• Promote adoption of GenAI in testing for test case generation, defect prediction, and reporting
• Coordinate offshore and onshore teams ensuring alignment with Japan-specific business and regulatory requirements
• Manage stakeholder communication including test progress, risks, outcomes, and governance reporting
• Oversee test planning, reporting, compliance tracking, and SLA adherence across deliverables and environments
• Lead and mentor testing teams, including performance management, attendance oversight, and career development
• Implement proactive problem management to improve system stability and reduce recurring issues
• Support integration and migration testing activities including regression impact analysis and production readiness
• Collaborate with stakeholders for requirement clarification, defect triage, and documentation management

Requirements:

• 8–10 years of experience in testing within integrated, migration, or mainframe testing programmes
• Experience working with Japanese customers and onsite delivery environments
• Experience in insurance industry testing or global/Japan-based insurers
• Experience in test planning, system integration testing, and regression impact analysis
• Knowledge of Japanese business etiquette and client interfacing
• Experience managing testing artefacts and documentation (e.g., Rally)
• Proficient in Japanese (JLPT N2+)
