テクニカルサポートエンジニア/ Tech Support Engineer

A global IT services company is seeking a Technical Support Engineer. The selected candidate will deliver remote technical support for enterprise-level server and storage systems while assisting field engineers and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Provide remote technical support and diagnostics for enterprise-level server and storage systems
• Analyse logs, create action plans, and guide field engineers through hardware issue resolutions
• Attend onsite interventions when required
• Collaborate with dispatch teams to review logs and determine next steps
• Escalate complex issues to L3 support or management when necessary
• Interface with sales, operations, and accounting to ensure service quality and client satisfaction
• Stay current on OEM guidance, industry standards, and product documentation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, CIS, MIS, or electrical engineering
• More than 5 years of technical support experience in multi-vendor environments
• Proven experience with servers, storage, and network equipment from vendors (CISCO, DELL, EMC, HP, IBM, NetApp, Oracle/SUN)
• Previous experience supporting two or more vendor platforms is a plus
• Skilled in system administration (UNIX, Linux, Windows) and networking (TCP/IP, DNS)
• Ability to extract system logs and troubleshoot hardware issues
• Native level Japanese; business level English
