A global financial services firm is looking for an Associate, Corporate Finance & Strategy. The selected candidate will drive strategic advisory initiatives, enhance proposal quality, and deliver advanced financial analysis to support high-level corporate decision-making. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead development of high-quality investment banking proposals through strategic research and insights
• Identify and analyse cross-sector trends and corporate finance topics to support deal origination
• Collaborate with internal teams to define key client issues and strategic priorities
• Advise C-suite executives on M&A strategy, restructuring, and corporate finance matters
• Conduct data-driven financial analyses on capital structure, shareholder returns, and credit strategies
• Evaluate macroeconomic trends and perform cross-sector comparisons to generate actionable insights

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance at one of the following:

- An investment bank, private equity firm, or consulting firm
- A corporate treasury or strategic planning department of a major corporation
- A credit rating agency or a dedicated rating advisory group within an investment bank

• Proficient in financial modelling and valuation, including DCF, LBO, and comparable company analysis
• Knowledge of specific sectors (e.g., TMT, Healthcare, Consumer, Industrials)
• Native level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in executing cross-border M&A transactions
• Possess valid CPA or CFA qualifications
