アプリケーションエンジニア/ Application Engineer

A global technology company is seeking an Application Engineer. The successful candidate will provide technical application support, develop testing methods, conduct laboratory testing, and deliver product training and technical consulting. This is a remote setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Use expert product knowledge to translate customer needs into appropriate product selection
• Develop new or modified test methods to support new customers and market opportunities
• Create product application presentations, white papers, and technical marketing materials
• Conduct laboratory testing to demonstrate product capabilities and generate experimental results
• Provide technical consulting and product application training to customers and internal teams
• Assist Engineering in analysing customer product failures and preparing failure analysis reports
• Communicate failure analysis findings and recommendations to customers
• Present technical concepts and experimental results through reports, lectures, and presentations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in science and engineering
• More than 2 years of experience in polymer rheology
• More than 2 years of hands-on experience operating rheometers
• Experience in rubber or composite manufacturing
• Strong data analysis skills
• Ability to read, analyse, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and papers
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to internal and external audiences
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• Possess a valid passport
• Fluent level English and Japanese

Preferred requirements:

• Master’s degree or PhD in polymer science, polymer engineering, rubber technology, or polymer rheology
• Familiarity with rubber testing equipment
• Fluency in additional languages
