サービスマネージャー/ Service Manager
A multinational premium appliance company is looking for a Service Manager for the Professional Business Unit. The selected candidate will oversee service operations, support local market development, coordinate technical support activities, and manage relationships with distributors, service partners, and headquarters functions in Japan.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate service-related activities
- Support local market development initiatives
- Manage budget planning for service and export-related activities
- Contribute to the development, coordination, and budgeting of key account management strategies
- Support local certification and registration activities including participation in the Medical Product Officer Network and responsibility for Yakuji-Sanyaku positions
- Support global and local audit readiness and response
- Communicate technical and quality-related feedback to headquarters functions and contribute to implementation activities
- Drive continuous improvement of service processes
- Organise customer visits and events in coordination with sales entities and export departments
- Support technical training activities for business partners and service partners
- Align training content with headquarters and ensure transfer of technical updates and service information
- Provide operational and technical support to distributors and service partners including troubleshooting and guidance on tools and processes
- Support installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and direct service interventions when required
- Represent Japan in regional service meetings
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in a technical field
- More than 10 years of business experience
- More than 3 years of experience leading technical service or support operations
- Ability to build relationships with distributors and technical stakeholders across markets and factories
- Solid technical experience
- Ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical working instructions
- Proficient in Japanese; business level English
Preferred requirements:
- Further higher education such as Master Craftsman, Technical Merchant, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
