Plant Director

A global manufacturing company specialising in filtering products is hiring a Plant Director. The selected candidate will oversee manufacturing and supply chain operations to drive operational excellence and support business growth. This hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all manufacturing and distribution operations in Japan including planning, procurement, production, and quality
• Develop and implement strategic plans for manufacturing, supply chain, and cost optimisation
• Lead plant and supply chain teams to achieve operational excellence
• Promote a strong safety culture, employee engagement, and sustainability initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost structure
• Establish KPIs and manage improvement plans to enhance delivery and quality

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a related domain (engineering degree or master’s degree is ideal)
• More than 10 years of experience in industrial manufacturing
• More than 5 years of experience in operations leadership position
• Experience in general management
• Prior experience in automobile manufacturing
• Proven experience in project management
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Japanese
