プログラムマネージャー/ Program Manager

A foreign technology company is searching for a Program Manager. The chosen applicant will serve as the primary point of contact for customers and lead programs to achieve technical requirements, quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary contact with customers and lead programs to meet technical requirements, quality, cost, and delivery objectives for customers
• Work with customers to obtain and define system requirements and specifications
• Analyse customer requirements, create internal working specifications and scope statements, and communicate these requirements throughout the organisation as per defined procedures
• Build and maintain close working relationships with customers
• Work closely with Execution PMs to define required program resources, costs, and establish key milestones, deliverables, and targets
• Track program master schedules, control costs, performance, and deliverables, and ensure targets are met
• Ensure functional teams communicate effectively with each other to support fast and high-quality responses to customers
• Resolve conflicts as necessary to ensure program success and customer satisfaction
• Escalate risks to appropriate leadership in the spirit of early intervention and follow defined escalation protocols
• Lead all program-related issues, including technical design and implementation
• Drive continuous improvement of global APQP processes and reinforce cost reduction and program efficiency improvement activities as defined through KPI processes
• Contribute to maintaining and continually improving the company’s competitive position, gross profit margins, and profitability
• Support Execution PMs and design engineers in product improvement and cost reduction efforts for each customer
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering
• More than 10 years of experience in automotive engineering, sales, or program management roles (design engineering experience is a plus)
• Working knowledge of the processes of automotive industries; APQP, IATF16949 and ISO9001
• Knowledge of Program or Project Management
• Ability and willingness to travel locally and internationally
• Fluent level Japanese and English

Preferred Requirements:

• PMP and MBA
• Proficient in Chinese
