An international biopharmaceutical company is hiring an Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). The selected candidate will lead financial planning activities for the Commercial and Tech Ops functions while supporting strategic initiatives and cross-functional partnerships.

Responsibilities:

• Act as primary financial partner for Commercial and Tech Ops teams, managing forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis
• Lead annual and long-term revenue planning, including in-market sales, inventory, and pricing
• Review commercial spending to optimise patient access and demand generation
• Identify risks and opportunities and recommend strategic investment or mitigation plans
• Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools
• Oversee purchase requisitions, invoice support, and financial process improvements
• Partner with Accounting on COGS, inventory tracking, and financial closings
• Support procurement reviews, contract analysis, and risk minimisation
• Ensure internal controls and SOX compliance across financial activities
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses, including scenario and resource planning

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant field
• More than 10 years of financial FP&A experience
• Practical experience supporting Commercial and Technical Operations functions in the pharma/biotech industry
• Proficient in ERP systems (Oracle & Hyperion Planning is ideal)
• Strong analytical skills and GAAP knowledge
• Skilled in MS Office Suite
• Possess a valid MBA qualification is a plus
• Proficient in verbal and written Japanese and English
