AP・GL担当会計士/ AP & GL Accountant
An international hospitality and travel organisation is seeking an AP & GL Accountant. The selected candidate will manage accounts payable processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, payment processing, and support accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process invoices and payment requests
- Review expense reports and invoices to ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal policies
- Clarify questionable invoice terms or pricing issues with expense owners
- Enter and upload invoices into the AP system with proper coding and allocation
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain vendor files and update vendor information
- Manage petty cash and process payments through bank transfers and direct debits
- Maintain supplier bank account registrations and direct debit expense lists
- Coordinate with banks and stakeholders regarding failed payments
- Prepare journal entries and AP reconciliations for monthly reporting
- Manage prepayments and monthly reclassifications
- Prepare account analyses and monthly reports
- Support cash flow forecasting and month-end closing activities
- Provide information required for internal and external audits
- Support AP-related projects and act as backup for other accounting team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-4 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting best practices, laws, standards, and local tax regulations
- Experience using ERP systems and COUPA
- Basic accounting and mathematical abilities
- Good understanding of office procedures
- Native level Japanese; intermediate level English (TOEIC 700+)
Preferred requirements:
- Experience with Oracle ERP system
