ARアカウンタント/ AR Accountant

A renowned international law firm is looking for an AR Accountant. The selected candidate will manage accounts payable operations, cashier support, and accounting tasks to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Process supplier invoices and staff expense claims, ensuring compliance and instructing AP processing
• Manage payment schedules and follow up on outstanding payments or documents
• Support cashier functions by reviewing bank activities and escalating discrepancies
• Handle client monies according to global policies and manage related banking operations
• Prepare basic accounting journals and assist in financial analysis
• Coordinate with banks, post offices, and authorities for finance-related tasks

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in accounting/ finance department
• Experience in a law firm or professional services firm is a plus
• Prior experience with Japanese consumption tax and withholding tax
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Possess valid accounting/bookkeeping certification (Boki Grade 3+) is preferred
• Business level written and verbal English (TOEIC 780+) and Japanese
