コントローラー/ Controller

A multinational industrial manufacturing company is looking for a Controller. The selected candidate will partner with factory leadership to drive financial transparency, support operational decision-making, manage forecasting and reporting, and contribute to manufacturing performance improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the finance business partner to factory management and support operational decision-making
• Provide transparency on production costs, efficiency, inventories, waste, and fixed cost development
• Translate operational and financial data into actionable recommendations
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with regional and group requirements
• Prepare monthly reporting and analysis on plant performance and operational KPIs
• Analyse variances against budget, forecast, and prior year performance
• Monitor manufacturing cost development across labour, energy, maintenance, raw materials, and overheads
• Support business cases and financial evaluations for investments and operational improvements
• Contribute to capital expenditure planning and post-investment follow-up
• Ensure accurate and timely factory reporting in line with company standards
• Support continuous improvement of controlling processes, reporting structures, and data quality
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and shared service teams to improve reporting efficiency

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field
• Experience in controlling, plant controlling, operations finance, cost controlling, or manufacturing finance
• Experience in a production, industrial, or manufacturing environment
• Understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory, and fixed cost control
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and performance analysis
• Strong analytical skills with experience using data, systems, and reporting tools
• Professional level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience working in an international organisation
• Proficient in Japanese
