GLマネージャー/ GL Manager

A global waste management and environmental services company is looking for a GL Manager. The selected candidate will lead closing, reporting, audits, process improvement, and junior staff development across accounting operations. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly and annual closing using SAP S/4HANA
• Prepare IFRS-based consolidated reporting packages
• Create financial statements under JGAAP
• Support accounting and tax audit processes
• Drive business process improvement initiatives
• Train and develop junior accounting staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 10 years of experience in closing operations at a Japanese listed company or a foreign company
• Experience using ERP (SAP S/4HANA, OBIC7, Microsoft Dynamics 365)
• Understanding of processes of listed companies
• Possess valid Nissho Bookkeeping Level 2 or higher qualification
• Professional level Japanese (business level English is ideal)

Preferred requirements:

• Experience introducing systems and tools for DX
• Prior experience in people management and leadership
• Possess valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA), USCPA, Nissho Bookkeeping Level 1 qualification
