シニア会計士/ Senior Accountant

An international outdoor products company is looking for a Senior Accountant. The selected candidate will manage financial reporting, month-end closing, compliance activities, and process improvement initiatives while collaborating closely with global finance teams. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and prepayments for month-end and year-end closing
• Ensure timely processing of vendor and supplier payments
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheet schedules
• Produce month-end management reports and variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Assist in statutory financial statement preparation and coordinate with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with tax legislation, government standards, and internal controls
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation
• Work with external tax specialists on corporate income tax, consumption tax, and fixed asset tax returns
• Support annual budgeting processes and rolling forecasts including scenario analysis
• Investigate financial data issues and implement corrective actions to improve reporting accuracy
• Assist with payroll processing and related records
• Drive ERP system enhancements and streamline accounting workflows
• Document accounting policies and maintain process manuals

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting or finance
• More than 5 years of experience in financial reporting and operational accounting roles
• Working knowledge of accounting principles including US GAAP and J-GAAP
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional and international teams
• Professional level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Knowledge of Power BI tools
• Possess a valid CPA/CA qualification
