コントラクトマネージャー/ Contract Manager

A foreign reinsurance company is looking for a Contract Manager. The chosen applicant will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of reinsurance treaty documentation. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the writing, executing and distributing of AP Financial Solutions (APFS) reinsurance transaction documents which embody client and business objectives
• Coordinate the distribution and review of draft legal documents to ensure the process stays organised and the appropriate draft versions are reviewed by the appropriate people, for the right information at the appropriate time
• Serve as quality control by ensuring that all documents are prepared in an accurate and professional manner and that APFS and standards are being met
• Ensure and document that all necessary functions have reviewed and approved the final execution versions of the document prior to execution
• Obtain signatures on legal documents and support any necessary approval documentation from signatories prior to their sign-off
• Maintain an appropriate archive of all APFS legal documents

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a related field
• More than 5 years of contract, legal, or treaty experience
• Legal background (contract drafting and management, understanding of reinsurance and insurance regulation)
• Advanced level presentation skills
• Ability to understand and negotiate the company and client business objectives, governing laws and regulations in order to design legal contracts
• Highly advanced verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well-received
• JD, paralegal or other legal training is preferred
• Professional level Japanese and English
