法務顧問/ Legal Counsel

A global energy organisation is seeking a Legal Counsel. The selected candidate will provide legal advisory, contract negotiation, and compliance support across onshore wind projects while managing legal risks and supporting business operations across the APAC region.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal and contractual support across the full lifecycle of onshore wind projects including bidding, negotiation, implementation, warranty, and service phases
• Advise and support preparation, drafting, and negotiation of complex project agreements including NDAs, supply agreements, service and warranty agreements, and related contracts
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the global Legal and Compliance teams to deliver consistent legal guidance
• Evaluate contractual and commercial risks and present recommendations to senior management in line with internal guidelines
• Coordinate with legal colleagues, sales, project management, insurance, and specialist departments throughout project execution
• Provide legal support on IP, IT, corporate matters, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, disposals, contract and claims management
• Deliver business-oriented legal solutions to complex issues while managing risk exposure
• Act as a trusted legal advisor providing impartial guidance and direction based on sound legal judgement
• Ensure compliance across key risk areas including anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, anti-trust, data privacy, human rights, and export control
• Support the organisation in adhering to internal policies and external legal frameworks

Requirements:

• More than 3 years of experience in legal roles across multiple jurisdictions and commercial environments
• Experience in structuring, drafting, and negotiating international project-related contracts
• Knowledge of international energy plant, system, or construction contracts including FIDIC
• Ability to analyse complex legal issues and provide practical solutions
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Possess a valid lawyer qualification
• Proficient in English and Japanese

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in the renewables sector
• Experience working in-house or with top-ranked private law firms
