貿易コンプライアンスロジスティクスマネージャー/ Trade Compliance Logistics Manager

A renowned chemical and materials manufacturing company is seeking a Trade Compliance Logistics Manager. The selected candidate will lead and improve trade compliance operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and driving efficiency across processes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret regulation changes and integrate them into operational processes
• Provide regulatory guidance on import/export and deliver Customs and Export Control training
• Maintain AEO certification and act as liaison for Customs and METI audits
• Coordinate with brokers and service providers to ensure compliant import/export activities
• Implement and enhance global trade compliance policies and procedures
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through preferential trade programs and oversee compliance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• 5-10 years of experience in Japan Export/Import licensing and trade compliance management
• Experience in customs clearance and HTS classification issue resolving, freight forwarding, and broker management
• Prior experience drafting and submitting export, import licenses, agreements, customs commodity HS Code classification ruling application, jurisdiction determinations and advisory opinions for marketing, sales and procurement activities
• Knowledge with Japan EPA/GSP regulations
• Understanding of Japan METI export control laws and regulations, and corporate licensing and compliance tracking systems
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Fluent level written and spoken Japanese and English
